Microinsurance and Agricultural Insurance

Microinsurance is the provision of insurance services to low-income people, who typically do not have access to insurance services or social security. Indeed, most people in developing and transition countries live without any formal means of protecting against risks, such as illness, death, harvest failure, loss of personal effects or loss of income.
