SDC supports the European Fund for Southeast Europe EFSE. EFSE - a fund combining public and private investors - provides sustainable, long term finance to banks and microfinance institutions in Southeast Europe. SDC is an investor of the fund and an active supporter in the Development Facility.

Albania
In the framework of the United Nations' Year of Microfinance 2005, SDC and Swiss Universities elaborated together several case studies on SDC's financial sector development projects:
