In 2012, the Springfield Center will offer their annual 2-week 'Making Markets Work' programme in Glasgow, UK (15th to 27th July 2012), see below. Depending upon demand for the first event they MAY also offer a second 2-week 'Making Markets Work' programme in late 2012 - same structure and pricing as the July event but in a different location (likely to be in Asia).

Practical emphasis on market development intervention rationale, project design and management issues, including:
• Markets in the wider economic environment and development context
• Understanding and assessing market systems
• Sustainability and exit strategies
• Complementary roles of public and private organisations
• Supply-side and demand-side intervention approaches
• Monitoring and evaluation
