SDC has two projects in Armenia that follow the M4P approach, one in the dairy/livestock sector and another one in the horticulture sector. For more information visit SDC's South Caucasus website.
Livestock development in the Syunik region: The focal area of the intervention is Syunik Marz in the rural Southeast of Armenia. The projet is implemented by an Armenian NGO, Strategic Development Agency(SDA). The project is in its second phase that began in late 2008. The following case study (developed by the Springfield Centre) provides an interesting overview over the project, with a special emphasis on a public-private partnership between SDC and the private milk processing company Elola.

The horticulture promotion project in the Meghri region "M4 Meghri": This project has recently started in December 2009 with a six-month inception phase aimed at implementing a market system analysis and at defining the intervention strategies of the project. The project objective is defined as: "A dynamic horticulture agribusiness sector generates sustainable and broad-based employment and income in Meghri". The project is implemented by the Swiss NGO Intercooperation in collaboration with the Armenian NGO Shen.
The Swiss Cooperation Office South Caucasus has also developed a Outcome Monitoring Concept for the domain Economic Development and Employment.
