E-discussion on Women's Economic Empowerment and M4P
We are pleased to announce the upcoming e-discussion on women economic empowerment (WEE) through private sector development programmes in collaboration with the M4P HUB (DFID, SIDA and SIDA financed). The e-discussion will strive to include voices from project implementers, programme officers at different levels, but also collaborators from head office and consultants that are confronted with the topic.
In particular, the e-discussion will deal with the question of “How can the Making Markets Work for the Poor Framework work for poor women and for poor men?” which is based on a "discussion paper "M4P Women Economic Empowerment Framework " prepared by Dr. Linda Jones by the M4P hub on behalf of SDC. For quick readers: An input paper was prepared by the facilitators for download.
The results of the e-discussion will directly feed into the e+i Network's public seminar on 9th May in Bern, Switzerland on M4P and WEE as well as the subsequent in-depth workshop on May 10th.
The discussion will start on March 19 and last for three weeks until April 5th. It will be facilitated by Maja Rüegg, Carsten Schulz and Marcus Jenal.
If you would like to participate in this e-discussion, please register through the dgroups platform of the e+i network (private sector development and M4P) or by contacting Carsten Schulz from AGRIDEA.
